Most Fragrant Climbing Roses
All of the varieties listed here are fragrant climbing roses. They are best and most frequently used on house walls but are also perfect for growing on pillars, obelisks, walls, trellises and over arches. The most fragrant climbers, as a group, are David Austin’s Climbing English Roses, which tend to flower with greater regularity and abundance than other climbers. They also have the wonderful natural ability to flower from the top of the plant all the way down to the base, so their fragrance can be enjoyed at close quarters. Other groups of roses which are generally fragrant are the Noisette Roses, Climbing Tea Roses and Climbing Bourbons.
