Ramblers form a very important group of roses and we have gone to great lengths to gather together one of the most extensive collections of these roses. They have many uses – for arches, pergolas, rambling through bushes and into trees, covering unsightly objects, etc. Ramblers usually have numerous small to medium-sized flowers held in large bunches, and have the ability to send up strong, often lax stems from the base of the plant. They flower with great freedom, giving a mass of bloom, but this is only once in the year except where noted. However, many varieties produce beautiful hips in the autumn and ramblers can be used as support for other climbers, such as many varieties of Clematis viticella. Read less
